Passionate Advocates Of Digital Art Forms
The Disruptive Gallery concept is based on the idea that fine digital art and fine traditional art can and should coexist. Since the earliest days of humanity, we have used the technology of the time to express ourselves, and we believe that the current movement is simply a natural advancement of that process.
The Exhibition Space
At the heart of The Disruptive Gallery is our permanent exhibition space. Located just off Portobello Road in the heart of Notting Hill the gallery is a 3,000-square-foot, warehouse-style space that we have renovated for the sole purpose of being an incredible space to launch digital art projects and exhibitions. The features of the gallery's 6 rooms include a multitude of digital canvases, including projection systems, video walls, OLED screens and other displays, a commercial-grade DJ installation and a professional, tunable artwork lighting system.
Founder, Piers Collinson
Piers’ passion for art comes from an interest in photography and the pop movement in his formative years. From a young age, he was inspired by vibrant pieces by Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol, Robert Indiana, and other pop masters. As time has gone on his interest in earlier movements, particularly Impressionism and post-impressionism, has steadily grown. Whilst that has nurtured, he has founded and run FUSION.ONE, which is a forward-thinking technical and digital company. His vision for the gallery is one where it embraces technology and new forms of expression but does so with a commitment to learn & build upon traditional art, particularly the experience of being physically in a room with a special physical representation of a piece.
